The Project Leader of the Clean Propulsion Technologies project, Professor Maciej Mikulski, was interviewed for Wasa Innovation Center Science YouTube Channel about the future of Internal Combustion Engines (ICE).
The video discusses what is driving the development of internal combustion engines (ICE) and alternative fuels. Maciej Mikulski explains the roles of IC engines and electrification in a green future. He mentioned some challenges regarding the use of new fuel sources in the real world compared to burning them in laboratories. Maciej also introduced some research areas that are studied at the University of Vaasa’s VEBIC laboratories, mentioning e.g. the reactivity-controlled compression ignition (RCCI) research that is conducted in the Clean Propulsion Technologies project.
