Final event of the CPT project – full of knowledge sharing and inspiration!

Category

The achievements of the Clean Propulsion Technologies Project were on display at the 4th and final Clean Propulsion Technologies review meeting last week in Vaasa and online. The event was attended by more than 120 participants from within and outside the project consortium. The first day of the two-day event was open to the public, while the second day was reserved for the project’s consortium members.

At the successful event, we heard presentations from five research organisations and six companies. In addition, Tero Ijäs (Business Finland) gave us its greetings from a co-funder’s perspective. An interesting panel of industry experts discussed the future of clean propulsion technologies and what kind of cooperation is needed. The panel discussion was led by the Advisory Board Chairman of the CPT project, Piotr Bielaczyc (Bosmal).

The Project Leader, professor Maciej Mikulski (University of Vaasa), summarized the main achievements of the project. The active and versatile cooperation between research institutes and companies in the project has resulted in high-impact demonstrators, including an ultra-clean RCCI medium-speed marine engine and a zero-carbon hydrogen off-road engine platform. These are complemented by new aftertreatment solutions, and the system-level focus is underlined by an innovative hybrid working machine prototype.
